Is Apple Censoring Links in Our Mac OSX Upgrade Story?
It appears that Apple saw the large number of hits coming from our article discussing customer complaints about Mac OSX Leopard upgrades. Some time on Friday, the company either deleted or increased security on both of the items we linked to in the article: The complaint that they forgot to censor, comparing Leopard pricing to iPhone pricing, and the entire forum where the censorship was going on.

Before Apple made it unavailable, I captured a screen showing the lively discussion pointing out similarities between the company's Leopard and iPhone pricing policies. Click the image to see a larger version.
If you click either of the links in my Friday article and you're not registered for Apple's forums, you get a message telling you that you don't have permissions to view the entire forum or category and saying that you may need to register to see the post and the forum.

If you register or if you are already registered when you click on either link, you get the same error message without the suggestion that you may have to log in.

The lone survivor of the many threads I saw when checking things out for Friday's article (see the first screen capture above) was located here, but it's not there now.
Here's the no longer available entry I linked to on the Apple Leopard pre-release discussion board.
Of course, this all could be a coincidence, but that seems somewhat unlikely.
