SwimMan has launched a completely waterproofed 2nd generation iPod Shuffle which, the company assures us, can be dunked in any amount of water you like and still operate without the need for an external case - which would, one must admit, be a tad bulky on an ultra small MP3 player like the 2nd generation Shuffle.

SwimMan buy in their own Shuffle stock from Apple and modify them internally so that they are sealed and waterproofed. Your warranty with Apple is probably voided, so, but SwimMan replace it with their own 1-year warranty.

The waterproofed iPod Shuffle will set you back $150 on its own, versus $79 for a vanilla one you buy off of Apple; or you can buy it in a package with SwimMan's waterproof, in-ear earphones for $250. Apparently the earphones are worth quite a bit all by themselves.
